‘Books can reach far, and we are willing to act as guides to reading’. In order to create a scholarly campus, let good books edify teachers' sentiment, enhance their professional ability and strengthen reading communication among teachers, on the afternoon of 18th May, the Chinese group of the Primary Section carried out a reading salon with the theme of 'Elegant Books and A Wise Life’.
Initially, the event began with a light-hearted game, after which each teacher brought a good book they read this semester to share with everyone. To be concrete, some teachers talked excitedly about what they had gained from reading, some excitedly read out their favorite passages with emotion, and others were inspired by the books, talking about their own future study and work plans......Whatever kind of communication, all reflects the style of ‘elegant wisdom’.
After the exchange, Wang Juan, the Chinese teaching and research group leader, made comments on each teacher and made a comprehensive summary of this activity as well: reading can awaken our love from the bottom of our hearts, and reading can improve the happiness of teachers.
To conclude, ‘time has swept over poems and books, however, reading leaves lingering fragrance’. The campus with reading is fragrant. Furthermore, under the policy of ‘reducing students’ homework burden and reducing the burden of off-campus training for students’, reading will become a strong support for teachers' lifelong learning. Through this reading salon, we will feel in reading, move forward in feeling, and reap in moving forward. More noticeably, we will continue to walk on the beautiful road of reading...
